Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 3, 2026

Last Word AI Inc. is committed to ensuring our platform is usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Feedback platforms exist to make sure every voice is heard — that commitment is only credible if every person can respond in the first place.

Voice is optional, never required

Last Word is a voice-first platform, but it is not voice-only. Every survey question can be answered by typing. The text field is always present and always editable — voice recording is an optional enhancement layered on top of it, not a gate in front of it. Respondents who are deaf, hard of hearing, non-speaking, or simply in a place where speaking aloud isn't practical can complete the entire survey with a keyboard or touchscreen alone.

If microphone access is unavailable or declined, the survey continues seamlessly in text mode. Voice responses are transcribed and shown to the respondent as editable text before submission.

Our standard

We design and test toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Current measures include:

  • • A text-input alternative for every voice interaction
  • • Keyboard-operable controls with visible focus indicators
  • • Screen-reader labels and live status announcements on recording controls
  • • Automated accessibility testing (axe-core) in our continuous-integration pipeline, run on every code change
  • • Semantic landmarks and skip-navigation links

Accessibility is an ongoing practice, not a checkbox. We audit the respondent-facing survey flow — the surface the public actually uses — as part of our release process, and we are actively closing the gaps those audits find.

For government and institutional buyers

We understand public agencies have legal accessibility obligations (ADA Title II, Section 508, California Government Code §7405 and §11135). We are glad to walk your IT or accessibility team through the respondent experience, complete an accessibility conformance report (ACR/VPAT) as part of an engagement, and accommodate agency-specific requirements — including alternative response formats for residents who need them.

Feedback and assistance

If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on our platform, or need an accommodation to complete a survey, contact us at support@lastword.ai. We treat accessibility reports as priority issues.
